Store dried chiles in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Properly stored, they maintain quality for 1–2 years. For longer storage, you can freeze them in freezer-safe bags and use directly from frozen.

Whole chiles offer more control over texture and are preferred for traditional sauces where you blend the rehydrated chiles to your desired consistency. They also last longer.

Powders provide instant flavor in dry rubs, spice blends, and quick cooking applications when you don't want to toast and rehydrate.

We recommend having both for maximum versatility.
